Christos Agalianos is a consultant surgeon in Athens Naval and Veterans Hospital with particular interest on pancreatic diseases. Moreover he is an associate surgeon in the HPB department of Konstantopouleion General Hospital (Head: Prof. C.Dervenis).
He has graduated the Military Medicine School in Thessaloniki in 2002. Since then he has joined the Naval Army Forces as a military doctor, taking part in many health-providing missions in Greece and abroad. He completed his residency in general surgery in 2011 and since then has been a consultant in General surgery at the Athens Naval hospital.

In 2014 he performed an one year fellowship in HPB surgery in Konstantopouleion General Hospital. Since January 2015 he is a clinical fellow in the Department of Pancreatic Surgery in the University of Verona, Italy (Head: Prof. C.Bassi).At the same time , he is participating in a Master Course on Hepatobiliary and Pancreatic Surgery at the University of Verona. Moreover he is a PhD candidate at the Kapodistriakon University of Athens (Prof. G.Zografos).

He is a substitute member in the COST Action BM1204 EU_Pancreas - An integrated European platform for pancreas cancer research since 2014 and also takes part in other cost actions focused on ambulatory surgery. He is a member of Greek and International scientific committees, orientated on pancreatic cancer and research upon this specific disease.
